So you are thinking of taking the plunge - stop going to work every day, no more chatting around the water cooler, no more dealing with quotas, people, putting out fires and dealing with the routine of your usual working day.

Congratulations! But are you really ready? Have you thought through the pros and the cons, talked it over with your spouse, envisioned what life will be like for the next 25-30 years? If you are healthy, 25-30 years in retirement is not unreasonable.
